Opmerkingen: Graniet is een dieptegesteente. Er is een deel met lijnen, uitlopend in een punt ontstaan. Een deel is gepolijst en een deel heb ik onbewerkt gelaten, om het ruwe materiaal te laten zien. De boorgaten onderaan vond ik mooi om erin te laten voor de expressie van het beeld, als een soort poortjes.
Het beeld heeft een opwaartse stroom door de punt en de lijnen die naar de punt lopen. De gladde gepolijste vorm trekt het eerst de aandacht en staat centraal in het beeld, het staat dwars op de vorm erachter. Toch komen beide vormen voort uit de onderste onbewerkte vorm. Ze hebben een contrasterende relatie met elkaar. De achterzijde is hol om hem minder zwaar te maken en hangt tegen de muur.

Notices: Granite is a deep rock. With this high relief, I chose to create this sculpture completely intuitively. In this way a part with lines, ending in a point, was created. I polished some, and left some untouched to reveal the raw material. The drill holes that can be seen at the bottom are left in it for the expression of the sculpture, as a kind of gates.
It has an upward flow through the tip and the lines running to the tip. The smooth polished shape attracts attention first and is central to the image, it is transverse to the shape behind. They cannot live without each other and have a contrasting relationship with each other. The back is hollow to make it less heavy hanging at the wall.
